Solidariteit Helpende Hand

Solidariteit Helpende Hand focus on the alleviation, prevention and ending of poverty in the Afrikaner community. This is done through community based projects where people are assisted to gain back their self respect by enabling them through education and training of skills to take control of their lives.
We use various products/platforms that include schools, social structures/projects, bursary/loan schemes for further education, workskills training and placements.
These projects focus specifically on the different areas of need. One such project is a lunchbox project where up to 4500 toddlers receive a balanced meal daily. In some instances this is the only food they get with regards to their daiy nutritional needs. Other projects include a schoolbag filled with standard stationary that is provided to needy grade one's. To date an estimate of about 27000 schoolbags have been handed out. We also have a study loan/bursary scheme where needy students are assisted with the high cost of tertiary education.
All these projects have a common goal which include the alleviation, prevention and ending of poverty.
