400km Iconic Challenge 2022

In July 2022, 20 social runners representing 7 different provinces in South Africa will take on the gruelling challenge of running 400km over eight days to raise enough funds to benefit at least 2000 school boys and girls from underprivileged communities, i.e. schools in villages and townships.

They will take on this journey on a carefully chosen route in Eastern Cape Province, “The home of Legends” the route is called The Resistance and Liberation heritage route and touches towns and villages, namely Alice, Fort Beaufort, Whittlesea, Komani, Cofimvaba, Ngcobo, Clarkebury, Bhaziya, Mqhekezweni, Qunu, Qokolweni and finishes at Nelson Mandela Museum in Mthatha.

The run is broken down this way: 42.2km for 7 consecutive days and 103km on day 8
