Cell C is celebrating Women’s Month during August 2018. We have selected SPCA Midrand as one of two beneficiaries for our Women’s Month appeal.

The SPCA Midrand is situated in the Cell C community and at any given time they look after 120 – 150  abused, neglected and unwanted animals. No animal is turned away.

The SPCA’s mission is to prevent cruelty to animals and promote the welfare of animals. Their vision is to end animal cruelty in South Africa and to engender compassion for all animals. Their objective is to serve and protect ALL animals, uplift their welfare and ensure that the protection they have under South African law is upheld and respected.

They are mindful that humans have been uniquely endowed with a sense of moral values. For this reason, they believe humans are responsible for the welfare of those animals that they have domesticated and those upon whose natural environment humans encroach. Their tools are leadership, education and action - using such legal means as is most effective and are at their disposal.
