Dear Dog lovers,

As you may know, Legend our amazing hound passed away around about this time last year. He was a wonderful animal and continual source of joy and happiness. He absolutely loved everyone he met with a passion. As you all may know Nick and I have a tradition of cycling the Cape Town Cycle Tour each year on our Tandem without doing any training prior to the race ( Except of course for the short ride down to the start ).

This year is no exception to the rule with Nick not having been on a bike since the last Cycle Tour. 

This year our lovely hound will not be with us to help kit up and get off for the race but he will be there in spirit - what we are hoping to do is raise some money in his memory and donate it to the Mdzananda Animal Clinic in Khayelitsha - they do amazing work and are able to help less fortunate hounds have very much better lives. 

Any money donated by you guys we will match and add to the donation. If you are a beleaguered tax payer in South Africa, Mdzananda can give you a tax certificate for your donation which will mean it becomes a tax deductible when you do your returns.

Mdzananda Animal Clinic

Since 1996 the Mdzananda Animal Clinic has been serving the Khayelitsha community pets and pet owners. The organisation treats up to 700 pets per month through consultations, hospitilisaiton, surgery (general, orthopaedic and sterilisation), mobile clinics, an animal ambulance and humane education.

Our aim is to help create a community that cares for every animal through veterinary care, education and partnerships.
