We run... not particularly fast or particularly well, but we run and on September 17th we'll be lining up at the start line of the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon

We both run for different reasons, and for the most part we have fun, however... Neither of us has EVER run a Marathon before, and the concept scares the living daylights out of us.

So we need motivation to train in the rain over the next couple of months and then actually pitch up at 'stupid o'clock' on the day and run what, to us, is a ridiculously long distance.

Our focus, as we lace up our running shoes and berate ourselves for our stupid descision, will be the thousands of pets in Khayelitsha who receive lifesaving treatment and care from the wonderful team at Mdzananda Animal Clinic. The amazing 'Earth Angels' who work at this facility are a lifeline for the community and their pets and they need every bit of support that we can give... 

So dig deep folks, every cent helps, turn over those couch cushions, check under your car seat and look in the pockets of your winter jackets and throw that extra cash our way!

In return, we promise to drag our bums accross that finish line come hell or high water! and if you ask us nicely we'll send you photos of our blisters and pained faces afterwards.
