Personal message

As most of you know I have recently moved home from living in the United States for 8 years. One of my latest endeavors is helping out a very close family friend who runs a children's home for seriously ill children who would be otherwise forced to live in very poorly maintained hospitals while awaiting surgery/medical treatment. Marang House accommodates children between the ages of 6 and 14 who suffer from diseases like chronic renal failure, diabetes, leukemia and lung diseases. I have experienced first hand what difference Marang House makes to these children who all come from disadvantaged backgrounds, which made me decide to get actively involved.

You all know that I do not normally do this,  but I would like to take this opportunity to ask you to support my endeavor  to raise much needed funds for a charity that I am incredibly passionate about.

On 21 November 2010 I will be riding the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge, which is a 94.7 km cycle race around Johannesburg, to raise funds and awareness for Marang House. I would like to appeal to you to assist me by making a donation to help me reach my target of 15.000 ZAR (2000 USD).
