The COVID-19 pandemic and nation-wide lockdown have had devastating effects on the financial situation of our Society. With no income-generating services, decreased donations and relief measures not being forthcoming, our Society finds itself in dire straits.

We appeal to our community to assist us during this time. We know the economic climate is affecting every citizen to some extent, but we cannot let our animals suffer. The expenses of our Society remain, which includes, inter alia, staff salaries (which are incredibly important – without them, our Society cannot function), municipal bills, increasing veterinary bill, fuel costs and other miscellaneous costs. We are at wits end and truly hope that our community will assist us during this challenging time, to ensure that we can continue providing our vital service in an effective and sustainable manner.
