At 18 years old, Zander has been wrestling since the age of 8, overcoming numerous obstacles through hard work and perseverance.
He has had the dream of participating in the African Wrestling Championships for the past four years, he finally has the golden opportunity to turn that dream into reality.
He will represent the South African team at the championships in Egypt from March 14th to March 18th.
Despite coming close to this achievement in the past, setbacks such as the challenges posed by COVID and a broken wrist last year hindered him from being able to join the team.
He is a dedicated athlete, has put in immense effort to reach this point, and this could potentially be his final chance to compete on such a prestigious international stage.
However, he is responsible for covering his expenses, totaling approximately R 36,000.
In light of this, we are reaching out for contributions to assist us with making this talented young wrestler dream come true.
