Personal message
Our initiative, The ZAM DriveForward Initiative 2024, is dedicated to providing driving education to those who face barriers due to financial constraints and other challenges. We believe that empowering these young individuals with the skills and knowledge to obtain their driver's license will be a head start in opening doors to countless opportunities, significantly shaping their futures, their communities and family environments. Our goal as the ZAM Foundation is to assist at least 15 beneficiaries in 2024.
We invite individuals, corporate, Government and the community at large to contribute to our cause which will influence our key outcomes, you are directly supporting the development of these young minds.
Your generous donation will enable us to:
- Provide Learners and Driving Lessons: Covering the costs of professional learners license and driving lessons for underprivileged beneficiaries.
- Cover Licensing Costs: Assisting with the expenses related to obtaining a driver's license, creating a pathway to independence.
- Foster Independence: Equipping youth with essential life skills, fostering independence, and enhancing their employability.
- Promote Road Safety: Instilling responsible driving habits to create safer roads for everyone in our community.
- Coaching and Mentorship: The beneficiaries will get post-support from our strategic partners to equip them with the necessary opportunity pairing and readiness.
Your donation, no matter the size, will be a crucial step in creating opportunities for young individuals and breaking the cycle of limited access to essential life skills. Enabling better opportunities and inclusion complementary to two of the 17 world goals namely: quality education and job creation.

The Zimkhitha Amanda Mashalaba Foundation herein referred to as ZAM Foundation, is a registered NPO (153-560 NPO) that aims to provide access to learners and driver’s license training to young people from previously disadvantaged communities in order to improve their prospects of employment.
The foundation focuses, although not exclusively, on young people who are 25 years and younger, who either have matric or are in their matric year. We have identified that a large number of these young people once they finish their matric, usually opt for job seeking as opposed to tertiary education due to lack of funds from their families.
Our aim is to intervene during this period by providing them with the opportunity to acquire a skill they can use in their search for a job and can also be of great use to them in the future i.e. the ability and certification to drive a motor vehicle.
