Personal message

This year I am attempting the Telkom 947 Cycle Challenge for the first time - a personal journey for me on multiple fronts.

I am going from “couch to 94.7kms” in 7 months, and will double this up with an effort to raise funds for early childhood development through HOPE Worldwide. Research has shown that the first few years of life are the most critical in a child’s development. This is the time when a child’s brain is growing the fastest. Without the right nutrition and stimulation, a child will not reach its full potential, and what happens in early childhood will last a lifetime. This is but a drop in the ocean to help this cause.
