Good morning, I am Chere King, I am married to WF Marais (Franco), who is 48 years old and resides in Worcester. Franco has pterygium which is growing on his left eye, this in turn causes severe headaches and he has 20 percent sight in this eye, and has to be removed to restore his sight fully.

He also has it on the right eye, which also has to be removed, but the emergency at the moment is to restore the left eye sight first.

In 2019 his eye was operated on, but the pterygium returned more aggressively.

Recently Franco lost his dad, and is looking after his 75 year old mom. The business he runs is still trying to recover from covid 19 lock down as well as the continuous loadshedding. Franco looks after his 2 staff members and so doing cuts his salary or goes without.

The cost of the hospital is R12000, the Dr's costs are R4000, new lenses R8000 plus as well as loss of income.

Franco is a selfless person and will go without so that others can have. He does not have the funds to pay for thus urgent operation that will restore his sight without it he will lose sight first tge one eye then the other. This is a gentleman that always puts others before himself and goes out if his way to help those in need. Please hear my plight and help someone who deserves it. Pterygium Campaign

Chere King appeals for urgent assistance for her husband, WF Marais (Franco), who needs a pterygium removal surgery on his left eye to restore full sight.
