Personal message
As a pastor it is my responsibility to care for the needs of people. This takes me to various places like homes or hospitals where I encounter many different situations including many sicknesses of which cancer has been the predominant sickness affecting both young and old people.
My journey with those being diagnosed with cancer and their families is heart-breaking and, therefore, I chose your organization which shares my heart of compassion to see them receive the love and support through financial assistance and much needed counselling.
So I choose to run this Two Oceans half marathon with this in mind.

The mission of Rainbows and Smiles is to provide emotional, social and financial support to families and caregivers in need when a child or children of that family is diagnosed with a life threatening illness such as cancer. In addition, Rainbows and Smiles encourage childhood cancer awareness to educate in the hope of promoting early detection.
