Personal message
MaAfrika Tikkun holds a very special place in my heart. It is one of only two charities I support and I support them because of the amazing work they do. I love the way MaAfrika Tikkun is focused on changing children’s lives, not only by giving them what they need right now – like a warm meal - but also by giving them a chance of a better future by empowering them to become proud, productive citizens. I’ve visited their sites and the work they are doing with the children there simply blows me away.
Being part of the MaAfrika Tikkun Dream Team for the Discovery 702 Walk the Talk provides an opportunity for me to do a little more for this wonderful organisation and the children they assist. I enjoy walking – although I have never before walked 8km. But I am sure it will be a lot of fun and I’m very excited about walking with a group of like-minded people who also appreciate the work done by MaAfrika Tikkun and want to support them.
Even if you are not walking, you can still support me in my goal of supporting MaAfrika Tikkun. Please sponsor me for each of the eight kilometres of my walk. Give with all your heart – it will change the life of a child.

Afrika Tikkun

Afrika Tikkun (AT) was founded in 1994 with the goal of developing and uplifting young people in disadvantaged communities resident in the Republic of South Africa. With like-minded partners, Afrika Tikkun aims to end child poverty and youth unemployment through a holistic approach that begins in early childhood and ends with productive adults accessing the economy. Our approach provides all-inclusive care (nutrition, health and social) services and helps SA’s youth achieve success with a model called Cradle-to-Career 360°, which has earned Afrika Tikkun recognition for being one of the most impactful organisations in South Africa. We operate from four centres in Gauteng and one in Cape Town.
