The Word of God, the Bible, brings Good News. In times of hopelessness and despair, we’re called to bring HOPE.

The S4J / SSNet aims to send 40,000 New Testaments to the Gambela Refugee Camps in the second half of 2021. New Testaments are sponsored at R5 each. Full Bibles are sponsored at R 17 per Bible.  

A message received from a pastor friend in South Sudan recently. "We are in bad shape. Hopelessness and despair and giving up are real issues to deal with. We need God."

In honor of Phillip du Toit, who tragically passed away on 22 March 2021, a fun run and a Bible fundraiser were held around 22 April 2021. With the impact of Phillip’s legacy, a fundraising target of R 10,000 was set. This target was well exceeded. Let’s build on this foundation to get Bibles to the people of Sudan and South Sudan in the Gambela refugee camps in Ethiopia.

Getting the life-giving Word of God, the Bible to Gambela will bring HOPE, DIGNITY, and RESTORATION.

The funds will be used to sponsor Bibles and bring HOPE to every person who receives them.

S4J is a fundraiser where athletes who run the Comrades marathon (and other races) raise funds to help the people of Sudan and South Sudan. We focus on providing help to war victims, as well as those in avoided and neglected communities where help is needed most.

The primary focus is providing these communities with access to clean water and assistance to those who share the Good News of Jesus Christ to those in need.
