Personal message
Hi there
We (John, Craig & Judes) are planning to ride in the Cape Argus Cycle Tour on the 11th March - 109km - and are doing it as part of a charity, Afrika Tikkun. This charity raises funds in order to educate young children from an underpriviledged background within South Africa.
1 in every 5 children in South Africa do not receive any Early Childhood Development Training.
It costs R180 a month to send one (1) child to an Early Childhood Development Facility = JUST R2160 a year!
Not only are we 3 keen cyclists (2 more experienced and 1 rookie) who are stepping up to the challenge of riding the Cape Argus, but we would love it if our efforts could also enhance the life of a child by furthering their education for a year.
Please sponsor us in any small way, you will be doing your bit to help us build a healthy community within our beautiful South Africa.
Don't forget to watch our times on Sunday 11th March 2012 when we cycle around the Cape Peninsula along with 35,000 other cyclists/nutters.
Thanks for your support
Craig, Judes & John

Afrika Tikkun

Afrika Tikkun (AT) was founded in 1994 with the goal of developing and uplifting young people in disadvantaged communities resident in the Republic of South Africa. With like-minded partners, Afrika Tikkun aims to end child poverty and youth unemployment through a holistic approach that begins in early childhood and ends with productive adults accessing the economy. Our approach provides all-inclusive care (nutrition, health and social) services and helps SA’s youth achieve success with a model called Cradle-to-Career 360°, which has earned Afrika Tikkun recognition for being one of the most impactful organisations in South Africa. We operate from four centres in Gauteng and one in Cape Town.
