Personal message

THE RED CROSS CHILDRENS HOSPITAL TRUST / RIDE FOR MORGAN

The Red Cross Childrens Hospital has always been a cause close to my heart. My brother was treated there for most of his childhood which meant I spent many an afternoon there waiting for him to see the doctors.

They are an amazing and extremely passionate Family of Doctors and Specialists who dedicate their time to saving the lives of countless children who come from far and wide.

This year my ride is a little more special as I will also be riding for Morgan, a special little friend of ours, who is currently receiving chemo at The Red Cross Childrens Hospital.

Please help me to raise as much as possible towards this very worthy cause.

At the Trust, we believe that a day in hospital is a day less of childhood. When you run, ride, jump or swim for the Children’s Hospital Trust charity team you help us give sick children, treated at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital, the best gift ever – the gift of childhood.

100% of all funds raised will go towards the implementation of a pilot project for Speech-Language Therapy and Audiology Services which aims to bring these services closer to communities who need it most.

A hospital dedicated entirely to children – especially children predominantly from impoverished communities throughout Africa – is critically important. So important, that it needs a champion to make sure that it’s able to keep doing the phenomenal work it does.

That champion is the Children’s Hospital Trust.
