Hi

So many physically disabled kids are stuck in a chair or bed and unable to get around without help - which is often not forthcoming. We (The Bumblebee Fund) are buying these kids "wheels" and giving them independence and dignity.

We are a group of runners who would like to help make a difference to the lives of these little people. 

 

The Bumble Bee Fund helps provide assistive devices to children with physical disabilities.

 

The equipment these kids need is very expensive and the average household cannot afford to purchase them. 

 

Basic medical aid plans do not cover these devices either which often leaves families in the position where they have to save over a very long period, take a personal loan and placing them under financial strain. 

 

With the help of these devices, the kids develop a sense of independence and makes their day to day tasks that little bit easier. 

WE have no idea how big that little bit of a difference actually makes and means in their lives. 

 

We will be doing various races on the Western Province Athletics calendar from now up to and including the Comrades Marathon in 2019 and humbly ask you to donate any amount you are able to to help us help make these kids lives easier.
