Personal message

My name is Thando Malepe, I am a MENtor at The Character Company, and I am stepping up by taking my part to raise boys to be good men, through a long-term MENtorship.

Looking at our current affairs, our society has a serious challenge a big problem with our men who have lost their sense of masculinity and values, and it is easy to talk about it but not take action. Women/girls are raped and killed every day by our angry, broken and lost men because no one was there to MENtor and guide them as they were growing up. It takes a lot of courage, faith, and self-believe to raise a hand and step up to cycle 94.7km as a first-time cyclist.

I am joining a team of warriors by taking part at the 947 Discovery ride Joburg event this year in support of The Character Company and I would really appreciate your support. Watch The Character Company promo video here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Hsp_6Egtno&feature=youtu.be

The Character Company is a long term mentorship programme for young boys growing up with absent fathers - raising boys to be good men.  Other than the weekly and monthly programmes, holiday camps and “one-on-one” intervention we also focus on support for single mothers and raising awareness of the impact of absent fathers on our families and society.
