Personal message
We are so proud to enter the 947 Cycling Challege again in an effort to raise money for a charity very close to our hearts. MES is a NGO that has done amazing work within the inner city of Johannesburg, from basic care to advance social work, for the last 30 years.
The two of us have been associated with MES for the last ten years, and we have ridden both the 94.7 as well as the Cape Town Cycle Tour on their behalf for the last five years.
We're taking the liberty of asking you to support MES by sponsoring our ride, for any amount big or small that you can spare for a truly amazing cause.
In 2016-2017, MES accomplished the following:
- 514 169 meals served
- 4130 food pracels distributed
- bed space for over 500 people per night
- 366 children in their ECD centres daily
- 223 after school programme participants every afternoon
- 116 GROW participants placed in temporary or permanent employment
