Personal message

I will be doing several seeding events as well as taking part in Midmar Mile 2013 and want to raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer. Cancer has always been a huge part of my life and this year (2012) it hit hard and close to home when my nephew, Greg, 10, was diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma Soft Tissue Cancer in February. Greg is a true inspiration to me, he has been bedridden for the most part of 2012 and yet he smiles and had a faith that we can all learn from. Greg you are my number one HERO! Sadly Greg lost his fight with Cancer on 26 December 2012 - now safe in the arms of Jesus.

Rainbows and Smiles has been a large part of Greg's journey. Bonita lost her own precious Noooooonie to brain cancer in 2011 and is a huge support to my sister and the Andrew's family. Bonita is not only a source of helpful imformation and support but more importantly she is a friend to my sister, and to me.

I would like to give back to kids with cancer by raising funds for Rainbows and Smiles as the rely purely on donation to offer emotional and financial support to families that are facing childhood cancer.
