Hi friends,

On 6th March 2016 I’ll be cycling 109 km in the fantastic Afrika Tikkun charity cycling team. To cycle the Cape Argus in a team with 6 colleagues and for a charity at the same time is fantastic. This way I can challenge myself to ride 109 KM in a surrounding with breathtaking views and also have to opportunity to raise funds for a wonderful project. Afrika Tikkun works with communities in Cape Town and Johannesburg to help create a prosperous future for some of the most vulnerable children. Click on the Afrika Tikkun logo for more info.

I set my fundraising target at ZAR 3.000 (E 172,-) . ZAR 3.000 is the money needed to educate and nourish one child for a year at Afrika Tikkun. It would be fantastic to at least help 1 child but it would be great to help many more! Let's make it happen, together.

Afrika Tikkun (AT) was founded in 1994 with the goal of developing and uplifting young people in disadvantaged communities resident in the Republic of South Africa. With like-minded partners, Afrika Tikkun aims to end child poverty and youth unemployment through a holistic approach that begins in early childhood and ends with productive adults accessing the economy. Our approach provides all-inclusive care (nutrition, health and social) services and helps SA’s youth achieve success with a model called Cradle-to-Career 360°, which has earned Afrika Tikkun recognition for being one of the most impactful organisations in South Africa. We operate from four centres in Gauteng and one in Cape Town.
