Personal message
I am so excited to be doing my first ever long distance charity swim, the Oceans 8 Charity Swim!
I will be swimming 8 miles over two days in the Novemebr this year. I am dedicating my swim towards raising money for the Duzi-uMngeni Conservation Trust in and I need your support!
The Duzi-uMngeni Conservation Trust seeks to perserve, maintain and better the health and conditions of the uMngeni-uMsunduzi river system. They do this by raising awareness and education of problems with the current river health whilst developing, demonstrating and promoting solutions to these problems. They partner with government and other organisations to engage in river health projects, education and capacity building.
I feel now more than ever with the recent heavy rains and flooding in KZN, that the health and perservation of our rivers is vital. If something is not don't done soon these river systems will be increasingly unable to support the range of aquatic, riverine and human life which is dependent on a healthy river system, let alone keep our Durban beaches clean.
Help me reach a minimum of R5000 to support this awesome charity! Any donation counts!
Thank you for your support!
