Personal message

Today and every day we celebrate the survivors, we honour the fighters and we remember the taken... First of all I would like to thank everyone who has made a contribution to this incredible cause, I really appreciate it!

It has always been a dream of mine to make a difference, and to help those less fortunate than myself...

Having been exposed to cancer from the age of 10 due to my mother being diagnosed with Leukemia. It is with a sad and heavy heart that that I share the fact that she lost this battle just before Christmas in December. She was my inspiration in taking on this challenge and always motivated me to do more for others than I would do for myself. She left an amazing legacy and I will strive for the rest of my life to do justice to that.

I am running the Two Oceans Half Marathon for Rainbows and Smiles foundation - a Charity supporting kids facing this illness called cancer.

Kids with cancer are the most inspirational beings, as nothing gets them down. They still see the beautiful things in life, and only want to laugh and be happy... You will never hear them complain, since they somehow still find things to be thankful for and things to laugh about... I am running for every person and child who would like to, but are not able to run... People and kids with dreams, which had to place them on hold, to fight this disease...

I am pledging to you to assist me in raising the funds to provide treatment for kids who should be allowed to just be a kid!
