Simon swims Italy to Monaco for Just the One.

Hi, my name is Simon Crawley and I will be swimming from Ospadaletti in Italy to Monte Carlo, Monaco on Saturday 6 August 2016. This is a distance of approximately 25km’s which I will be doing in relay with another madswimmer, Elaine Sinden. We will also be swimming with a number of other madswimmers, some of whom will be doing the full distance.

I hear you asking two questions, possibly more... Why you doing this?. This is chiefly about raising some much needed funds for those more needy than us. The Just the One Foundation is an incredible organisation apparently started by some individuals who came to the conclusion that if they each just gave up one beer a month they could put a child through school. They now have 4 children from disadvantaged backgrounds whom they are paying for so as to enable them to get an education and ultimately help make South Africa a better place.

Now you wondering why swim this Crawley, you probably going to drown?  Around two years ago, I had a major low back operation, a ruptured disc, so had to have it removed. During that time, I decided to change certain espects of my life, my health is not only important to me, but more so to my young family... Swimming has always been fun, I'm no competitive swimmer, but I enjoy it.   

Mix the healthy living drive and doing it for a great cause, just makes sense.

Please help in putting another child through school. Just R100 will go a very long way.
