Personal message

This year, Simon and Cara will attempt to swim across Lake Malawi nicknamed by David Livingstone as the "Lake of Stars." This name came about due to lights from the lanterns of the fishermen in Malawi on their boats, that resemble, from a distance, stars in the sky .

This great lake is the 9th largest in the world and the third largest and second deepest lake in Africa.

The event takes place on the 29th of October in aid of two charities, supporting children in South Africa:
Teddy Bear Clinic and Geleentheid Trust.

We will attempt to swim the distance between Mirango & Senga, roughly 30km, lets see how we go....
