I am not alone

I am writing today with a heavy heart, seeking understanding and support during an exceptionally challenging time in my life.

As a single mother, I have encountered an unforeseen crisis that has left me in a precarious situation. Towards the end of November, my job experienced a significant cut in salary—by a staggering 70%, just before the holiday season. This unexpected setback has rendered me unable to meet crucial financial obligations, including my rent and other essential expenses.

To ensure the well-being of my daughter, I had to make the difficult decision to send her to Cape Town, as my financial circumstances could no longer provide the stability she deserves. Currently residing in a small town in the Western Cape, finding employment amidst the holiday season has proven to be an arduous task.

Regrettably, this unfortunate turn of events has led to the loss of my home, and I find myself without a source of income at present. Despite these challenges, I am heartened by the prospect of a new job with a promising salary, scheduled to commence on February 1st.

In order to secure a stable living situation for myself and my daughter upon her return, I am reaching out for assistance with funds for a deposit and rent. This critical support will serve as a lifeline during this transitional period until I can regain financial stability with my upcoming employment.

I am not accustomed to seeking help, but I find myself in circumstances beyond my control. I assure you that your assistance will not only help me avoid the prospect of homelessness but also ensure the well-being of the small animals I am committed to caring for.
