Dear Scarborough Village,
The Scarborough Environmental Group (SEG) has been looking into the refurbishment of the two "Welcome to Scarborough Conservation Village" signs at the north and south entrances to the village. The signs have been in place for 15 plus years and are now looking weathered and require some much needed attention.
A local resident Clint Cowan, owner of Snapshot Digital, has offered to do the refurbishment and reface of the signs at a cost price of R2200.00 for both of the signs. The text and design of the signs will be kept as original and the text will be redone with white reflective material making the sign more visible at night. The restoration of the signs will let visitors of the village and residents know that we are proud to be living in a eco-minded conservation village and create awareness to all.
The SEG are looking for donations from community members to fund the refurbishment of the signs.
