Personal message
Covid-19 is wreaking havoc all over the globe and as we all face the pandemic
head-on, the South African Bone Marrow Registry continues with its efforts
to save the next patient in need of a bone marrow transplant.
However, as a result of the lockdown regulations, there are currently no fundraising events taking place in support of the SABMR’s Patient Assistance Programme.
But to stop is not an option. We need heroes. We need you. Because together we can save lives.
You can help right now. What might seem like a small deed to you can mean a second chance at life for someone else.
Unfortunately, there are still hundreds of South Africans with blood-related diseases and their only chance for survival is a bone marrow transplant. Our fight continues to raise funds for patients who do not have the financial resources to formally activate their donor search, and by donating as little as R100, you bring us one step closer to that goal.
Thank you for your continued support and for your willingness to be someone’s tomorrow. We appreciate every donation, sponsorship and opportunity allowing us to save the next patient need.

The South African Bone Marrow Registry

The South African Bone Marrow Registry (SABMR) exists to help find matching bone marrow donors for critically ill South African children and adults who need a transplant but do not have a match within their own family. The only one of its kind in South Africa, the SABMR is committed to helping every patient referred to it. If there is no matching donor in South Africa, we take our search worldwide - “We search the world to find your perfect match”.
