Personal message
SA Country Life magazine has partnered with SANParks Honorary Rangers East Rand Region to help raise funds for the organisation's Ride for Rhinos at this year's Discovery 947 Ride Joburg.
Who's our rider?
Our victim volunteer is the magazine's digital editor Leigh Hermon. She has one 947 Cycle Challenge under her belt and (for some reason) wants to add a second to her name. On Sunday, 17 November, she'll be hitting the mean streets of Johannesburg to complete this year's Ride Joburg event.
Who are the SANParks Honorary Rangers?
The Honorary Rangers are a volunteer organisation who provide a means for the public to donate and support the efforts of SANParks. They offer a diverse range of support to our national parks including assisting at the entry gates, raising funds for anti-poaching projects and other SANParks activities, helping with visitor management, running youth programmes, and giving specialist advice on infrastructure and scientific projects.
