Cycling for conservation and to save our wildlife!  Please help me make a difference and donate towards this very worthy cause.  

Some of you know me and others don’t, but I am up to something crazy again … so here we go: 

I am a South African Field/Nature guide but have been living in the high Arctic for over 6 years now.  I am passionate about nature and wildlife and together with my wife, we are doing what ever we physically can to help fight against the illegal trade in wildlife - In our first step in this regard, we will be flying down to South Africa in November … A distance of  over 10 000km (straight line) from 71° North to  26° South and I will be taking part in this cycle race for charity … I am joining the Honarary Rangers Cycling Team and especially supporting a field guide buddy of mine … Jaco Buys (Safari guide of the year 2016) … These are Jaco’s words and this is why we support the Honarary Rangers: "The South African Honorary Rangers supported SANParks to the tune of 44 Million Rands in the form of skills, equipment, training and time in 2015. The Field Rangers, Section Rangers, Wildlife Vets, Special Rangers, Canine Colleagues, Helicopter Pilots and Environmental Crime Investigators all need our support. We need to raise funds to educate our adjacent communities, to create employment for and transfer skills to the next generation of Field Guides, Receptionists and Trails Rangers”.
