Personal message
I have been fortunate in that I cannot remember when I didn’t have a 2 wheeled vehicle of some sort. I have fortunately gravitated to the pedal variety.
I plan to ride my first Cape Town Cycle in a green Morph suit on a "fixie". My plan is to involve everyone I encounter at the race. Be it to sing, make jokes or hopefully bring more awareness of what Home of Hope is about.
My little buddy’s name is Jethro. This little boy is very special. He has gone from different foster homes, which never worked out due to his emotional and behavioural challenges as a result of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. He finally found his forever home with Home of Hope and lives with 18 other children, where he receives 24 hr care and assistance.
I believe that everyone should have the best opportunity that circumstance allow, but not all of us has had the best of starts. This is where I believe we can all assist in any way we can.
My fundraising target for Jethro is R12 000. The funds raised through this campaign will go direct towards Jethro’s daily needs and education.
Please consider covering the platform fee, so more of your donations goes to our project.

Home of Hope

Home of Hope was started in 2005, and we are an NPO that cares for abandoned and abused children and children with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD – permanent brain damage caused by pre-natal exposure to alcohol). We are a registered place of safety and we have 19 children in our long term community based foster care.
The organisation also caters for the special educational needs of children suffering from FAS (Foetal Alcohol Syndrome) and neurological challenges, in our Amathemba Learning Centre. There are currently 37 children at our Amathemba Learning Centre.
