Personal message
The Oceans 8 Charity Swim was established by five charities (DUCT, NSRI, Project Rhino, Singakwenza and WILDTRUST) to provide a reliable and sustainable flow of funding to 14 deserving non-profits with a footprint in KwaZulu-Natal.
These funds will support the work of the 14 charities involved and allow them to continue to engage in and deliver on projects which impact and influence education, environment, community development and upliftment for those most in need.
The nine invitational charities that your fundraising will be equally split between are:
- Adopt-a-River (www.adoptariversa.org)
- Caversham Education Institute (www.cavershaminstitute.co.za)
- C.R.O.W. – Centre for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (www.crowkzn.co.za)
- Game Rangers Association of Africa (www.gameranger.org)
- International Sailors’ Society of South Africa (www.saiss.co.za)

Oceans 8 Charity Swim NPC

The Oceans 8 Charity Swim is South Africa's first warm water ocean swim of its kind, exclusively for charity.
It has been started by 5 charities (DUCT, NSRI, Project Rhino, Singakwenza and WILDTRUST) to provide a reliable and sustainable flow of funding to deserving non-profits with a footprint in KwaZulu-Natal, to support their work and allow them to continue to engage in and deliver on projects which have an impact and influence on education, environment, community development and upliftment for those most in need.
The inaugural Oceans 8 Charity Swim will be held on the 16th & 17th (18th) June 2023 at the Durban Undersea Club, with the 5 founding charities benefitting from the 8 Mile swimmers, and 9 invitational charities benefitting from the 1 Mile swimmers.
