On 2 December 2017 I will be running the 65km Ultra Trail Cape Town. (UTCT)

As some of you may know, I love trail running, but living in a city forces me to do most of my training on urban roads. When you train on road you tend to witness what we as humans are doing to our beautiful world. I feel I have a responsibility to take care of it and for this reason I have chosen the Urban Caracal Project as a fundraising project. By running UTCT, I have the opportunity to raise funds for this project.

I have visited Cape Town many times and never ever has it crossed my mind that the caracal is fighting for it’s survival. It is currently the biggest remaining predator in the Cape Peninsula area.

RMB UTCT Trail and Environmental Fund

The UTCT Trail Fund is an ongoing legacy project where funding is generated for two primary areas of focus:

To develop and grow trail running in disadvantaged communities and,
To contribute to Table Mountain National Park’s Honorary Rangers conservation programmes that maintains the National Park.
