Personal message

To Whom It May Concern:

A short letter about the late Michelle Duffin and her reasons for supporting certain charities.

Michelle has always been an athletic person. From a young girl her first love has been competitive sport. Michelle was a great athlete at school, having received many awards for her achievements. Michelle had an incredible love for animals as well.

Almost immediately after leaving school Michelle involved herself in the Personal Training profession and went on to become an extremely talented trainer and proved to be in high demand by her clients. She was also a Miss SA Bodybuilder.

Michelle was always a very reserved person whose feelings ran deeper than anyone ever knew. She was a caring and loving person who always put others first no matter at what cost to her own dreams and desires.

This proved true in her final days, as she delayed her departure from Johannesburg to live her dream, to help look after her step-father who is in need of constant care.

Michelle lost her father to cancer in 1999 and there is no doubt that this was her inspiration to support the charities that she did. Her support would be to hopefully have helped save somebody else from suffering the same fate at the hands of this dreaded disease.

Sadly Michelle was so busy looking after everyone else and not herself which resulted in her life coming to a tragic end at the age of 33! Michelle sadly was never aware of just how many people’s lives she touched.

May she cycle with the angels forever!



**Pink Peddlers Core members will cycle the Momentum 94.7 Cycle race in loving memory of Michelles's dream to compete in the race this year.

It is unfortunate that Michelle is not here with us in person but her spirit lives on and her memory and achievements will continue to live on for year to come.
