Phillip was a staunch S4J athlete. He tragically passed away on 22 March 2021. Phillip annually ran for Bibles for Sudan. He sponsored at least 1,000 Bibles (New Testaments) annually as part of the S4J Bibles for Sudan project. New Testaments are sponsored at R 5 each. Full Bibles are sponsored at R 17 per Bible.

The S4J / SSNet aims to send 40,000 New Testaments to the Gambela Refugee Camp in the second half of 2021. By supporting Phillip’s S4J fundraiser now, we will kickstart a far greater fundraising effort to see this vision become a reality.

Here is the challenge: to see how far we could beat Phillip’s 1,000 New Testaments by fundraising for Bibles, in his honor, right now.

The people of Sudan and South Sudan will receive a free copy of the Bible in a language understood by them. It happens at a place where there is a desperate need and tremendous hunger for the Word of God.

These funds will sponsor Bibles. Bibles are printed in SA and delivered by to those who would receive them at the place where they live.

S4J is a fundraiser where athletes who run the Comrades marathon (and other races) raise funds to help the people of Sudan and South Sudan. We focus on providing help to war victims, as well as those in avoided and neglected communities where help is needed most.

The primary focus is providing these communities with access to clean water and assistance to those who share the Good News of Jesus Christ to those in need.
