Personal message
I am a registered nurse manager that is trying to arrange dignified care for a close friend that I have known for more than two decades.
His current health status places him on a palliative care situation. He is not on a medical aid. His current living conditions are not suitable for his needs, it is a double,.double garage size flat with some drywalling.
Basically the entire interior cupboards and fixtures has to be taken off. The space needs to be cleared and broken items needs to be taken away. Before we can do anything else it will need to have a deep sanitize clean. I can source a old school hospital bed but need decent heavy duty mattress and linen.
We also need a large sturdy chair for sitting upright. One would need to be able to wipe and sanitize. A small second hand fridge with some basic fresh food weekly. We have O2 machine and medications sorted for this month. We need either actual physical help to break down, clean and take stuff away,or funding to put this in place.
The only aim is to have a clean open space, Ned, chair basics. Being able to afford a daily home carer would be an added bonus.
