Hi, my name is Chani, and my husband Vince and I are raising money for our best friends Sabine's & John Henry's 7-month-old baby Oliver, who has been diagnosed with high-risk, stage 4 neuroblastoma at 6.5 months of age.

We need your support for our precious Oliver, who is courageously facing a battle against cancer. Oliver's story:

On 15 December 2023, Oliver was diagnosed with high-risk, stage 4 neuroblastoma at 6.5 months of age. An 8x7cm tumour was identified above his right kidney, with metastasis that had spread to various bones in his body. His treatment plan will likely stretch beyond the next 12 months. He is currently on the verge of his 3rd round of chemotherapy, scheduled for the 30th of January 2024.

After round 4 of chemo, there will be scans (MRI + MIBG) to evaluate the cancer's response to the chemo. If the tumour can be safely + totally removed at this stage (and cancer has been sufficiently destroyed elsewhere), then they will proceed to surgical removal.

If not, he will need another three rounds of chemotherapy before surgery. After surgery, he will undergo a stem cell extraction. Then, he will undergo radiotherapy, after which he will be admitted to the hospital for a stem cell transplant (+/- 30 days).

If needed, Oliver will then undergo immunotherapy to attempt to totally clear out the cancer from his body + prevent potential relapse. He will then require periodic scans and tests for some time to check for any signs of relapse.
