Personal message

We provide food parcels once per week, on a Tuesday morning, to at least 150 families in and around the Roodepoort area. This project started 15 years ago, by giving, whatever was available and any extras to dustbin diggers.

Churches in the area soon came on board. The word, not only spread to the well wishers, but to the hungry and less fortunate. We had to start to register them as a means of monitoring the group. 

We do lots of work with the Child Protection Unit, providing them with Comfort Kits. Often when children are taken away to a place of safety, they are taken with only the clothes they are wearing. These kits are made out of: A towel, face cloth, a soft toy, basic toileties, diapers and whatever is available to make their lives a little less traumatic.
