As the mother of a wonderful non-verbal autistic daughter, each day brings both challenges and joys. She's turning six on February 10th, and witnessing her explore the world fills me with pride and worry.

Recently, she started school, a big step for any child. But as a single, unemployed mom, the cost of school fees and essential medical visits is overwhelming.

We moved from Ulundi to Durban for better care and education opportunities. Yet, expenses keep piling up, leaving me feeling helpless.

I dream of giving her more support, like a speech therapist to help her communicate better.

The costs go beyond therapy - from special equipment to tailored learning materials, it's a huge strain.
