Personal message

After not getting an entry for 2019, I did not let that get me down instead I saw an opportunity to do things differently. I love running & I have always admired those who do it for others (various causes).

In choosing an organization I knew I wanted to get involved with an organization that catered for children because this is the most vulnerable group in our population. I do not have a personal cancer story to share but as a health professional I know how inaccessible treatment can be especially if you do not have medical aid.

I want to learn more about the work done Rainbow & Smiles for children with cancer. More important I want to get involved, learn more about fundraising & join the voices of those that speak on behalf of these children.

I’m hoping to also encourage my friends & family to take up support to such causes or at least those that speak loudly to their own life experiences.

It will be a new experience for me but one that I am absolutely looking forward to.
