My story is not unique in our country, it is one that is common but no doubt difficult and challenging. I am a final year Bachelor of Arts in Law student at Varsity College (VC) Cape Town. Studying at VC was never an option for me however I had been rejected to study law in public universities many times. My love for law comes from my mother who is a resilient single mother raising three children by herself on a housekeeper's salary. With my law knowledge and qualification I aspire to advocate for the rights of all ordinary South Africans who, without funds or means to hold their own are not able to dream. I passed my first year studies with distinctions without having textbooks and was suspended last year which was my second year due to failure to pay school fees but was still expected to write my exams which I also passed with distinctions without access to textbooks. I understand that my story is no extraordinary story but I hope that it will prove to you that I am capable when given an opportunity to prove myself. I would appreciate any donations that anyone is able to contribute towards paying off my fees, I am only one year away from completing them and would appreciate being given the opportunity to do so.
