Personal message
I'm a 42-year-old woman residing in Polokwane, and I was previously diagnosed with breast cancer. I underwent a comprehensive treatment regimen, including chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and hormonal therapy. Fortunately, I experienced a period of remission.
In September 2023, however, I received the distressing news that the cancer had metastasized to my lungs, reaching stage 4. Subsequently, I began a new round of chemotherapy in December. Unfortunately, this treatment has taken a toll on my strength and well-being.
Complicating matters, due to medical aid restrictions, I must travel from Polokwane to Pretoria for my ongoing treatment. Additionally, the chemotherapy has led to a decline in my white blood cells and platelet count, posing further health challenges.
I find myself in need of financial assistance to cover the considerable expenses associated with both travel and medical care. Beyond my personal situation, I also have a heartfelt desire to contribute to the support of children struggling with cancer. Your assistance in raising funds for these purposes would be immensely appreciated.
