Personal message

It has been brought to our attention that some underprivileged people are going without food for 2 to 3 days at a time and the little they can afford to buy is not nourishing food at all. Some of these people are on medication and have to take it on an empty stomach. Among them are pensioners and families with children. There is a great need for us to provide a meal twice a week.

Our vision as an organization is to feed the vulnerable, poverty-stricken impoverished individuals and families within our community. In essence, our mission is to add effective change in our community by consistently improving to serve with character, integrity, and transparency, aiming to uphold the highest level of professionalism and adding honesty to our purpose. Thus we take pride in providing COOKED MEALS to those who are in a less fortunate position.

Our program does however follow procedures as required.  A MILLION REASONS TO DO GOOD NPC utilizes a referral-based system where individuals, classified as a priority, are referred by our local hospital and Community Care Workers. As a team, we are well aware of the current state of our community due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It gives us great pleasure to provide nutritional meals not only to those who are referred but also to those who are highly affected by the economic turmoil. Cape Town – ATLANTIS – Western Province.

Funding will enable us to maintain our feeding programs and care for many underprivileged people and assist those who have lost their jobs due to Covid-19 lockdown and are living below the breadline. Funding will prevent many adults and children from suffering malnutrition. It would also benefit these families and individuals who are experiencing food insecurity not only by relieving their hunger but the knowledge that they will receive healthy meals on a regular basis will relieve their emotional anxiety.

Take into consideration that we follow a program where warm meals are distributed to either a specific family or individual for three consecutive weeks. Thereafter we select newly identified less fortunate families or individuals to be appended into the program. Letters, Facebook, and Whatsapp messages received expressing thanks and gratitude on behalf of the communities have touched us deeply, encouraging us in what we do, namely:

Pastor Kevin Julius – Atlantis Community Church; Anastasia Davids – Atlantis Community; Mina Pretorius – Atlantis Community; Jodie Buziek – Phoenix, Milnerton; Yolanda Rudolph – Atlantis Community; Karin Herman – Mamre Community, Pastor Sabrina  Adams –Beacon Hill Church;  Ashley Rix; Janine Williams; Rochelle Leetz – New Apostolic Robinvale Atlantis; Alfonso Makka; Daryl Mehl and children Zion and Mary-Jane; Chantal Ockhuis – Delft;  Others have conveyed their gratitude by word of mouth. We would like to assist those in need as soon as possible, as it gives us great pleasure to help make a difference.

The idea of registering a non-profit organization which would bring relief to many different needs and make deeper inroads into helping the community of ATLANTIS and surrounding areas , in the Western Cape, Gauteng and  Quaqua, Free State. The name A MILLION REASONS TO DO GOOD NPC speaks of more than one project.

SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT GOALS – SUPPORTING AND CARING FOR FAMILIES

Our goal is to provide relief, to transform the lives of, and care for impoverished and underprivileged families, including pensioners, handicapped individuals, H.I.V & Aids sufferers  as well as abandoned children and abused women, through various social development channels enabling our beneficiaries to become more responsible, independent, and healthy individuals.

Campaigns are launched throughout the year to raise funds for various causes and needs that arise.

Our feeding scheme is the most urgent need that we can meet, thereafter, through the help of  funding and campaigns we offer relief in other social development areas. Please visit our other social media platforms to find out more about what we do.
