Hi,I am Meghan a 24 year old South African earning an average salary.
On the 4th of February I woke up to my cat, now one years old, not acting himself.
I was immediately concerned. He wouldn't eat his food, he would flop his head in his water bowl and hide in corner and not want to love me, note he is usually a very loveable and cuddly kitty.
I immediately took him to the vet who admitted him for a urinary blockage which can be life threatening.
After 3 nights at the vet he came home with loads of medicine but looking like himself again.
This bill came to R5000.
Saturday, the 10th of February I again woke up to him acting the same if not worse than the first time.
Being after hours I had to rush him to an emergency Vet.
Same issue again.
The bill was sitting at R9200.
They gave me the option to take him to my vet, a more affordable one. Which I did on Monday the 12th.
Griffin came home on Thursday the 15th after five nights at two different vets.
He so far seems okay but if it happens again he will need surgery.
I love my baby so would really want to help him in anyway possible.
With now having paid close to R17 000
I am in need of some assistance.
Griffin and I would love if you could donate and it would help us in so many ways.
