Dear family, friends and community
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
My name is Liesl de Jager. Marli is my eldest daughter and almost 16 years old. She lives for the performing arts, shines bright on stage and has always worked extremely hard to make her dreams come.
Marli qualified to travel to Poreč in Croatia (18 - 27 May 2024) to participate at the DanceStar World Masters as part of the SA Dance Talent Team. This is an amazing and unique opportunity where dancers from all over the world come together to participate and share their love for dance.
We are hoping for your support in assisting our talented and dedicated daughter to make this tour a reality as it is currently financially not attainable for us.
Your donations will be utilised towards paying Marli’s air fare, visa application, entry fees and hotel accommodation.
In total we need approximately R50 000.00 for Marli, but since she is only 16 years old, I’ll need to accompany her to Croatia as stipulated by the competition’s rules.
The outlined estimated costs:
Hotel package B: R 17 500.00 (dancer) + R 14 500.00 (parent)
Entry fees and costumes: R 5 000.00
Air fare: R 15 000.00 + R 15 000.00
Visa applications: R 1 600.00 + R 1 600.00
Extra’s (taxi fare, lunches, pocket money)

However, we need to pay a deposit of R 4 500 + R 3 000.00 by the 5th of January 2024.
