Empowering Dreams: A Plea for Educational Support

Hello and warm greetings to our compassionate community,

I am Lwando Mposelwa, a second-year student going to third-year at University of Cape Town, pursuing a B.Bus.Sci in Finance with Accounting. Born in the small town of Sterkspruit in the Eastern Cape Province, my journey has taken me to the vibrant city of Cape Town, where I now navigate the challenges of university life.

As I open my heart to share my story with you, my sincere hope is that together, we can overcome the financial obstacles threatening to interrupt my educational journey.

Raised in Sterkspruit and educated at Protea Heights Academy, my passion for knowledge and drive to create positive change were nurtured. Life, however, has presented its fair share of challenges, including the untimely passing of my father, leaving my resilient mother as the sole breadwinner. In addition to supporting me, she cares for my young sister and provides for my aunt and her four children.

Today, I reach out to you not merely as a student in need but as someone fueled by a deep-seated desire to make a difference. My dream is to become a Chartered Accountant (CA) – not only to fulfill my personal aspirations but to be a pillar of support for my family.

The looming financial burden has placed a roadblock in my educational journey. I currently owe outstanding fees, hindering my ability to register for the upcoming academic year. This setback is not mine alone; it impacts the hopes and dreams of those who depend on me.

My mother, a remarkable woman, shoulders the responsibility of being the primary provider for our family. Her strength is awe-inspiring, and I aspire to alleviate some of her burdens by becoming a CA. Education is the key to unlocking this potential, but at this moment, I find myself in need of your support.
