Here we go again! 

From 8 Miles at Midmar in February 2023,  to 8 Miles in the Ocean in June 2023.   This time i'll be raising funds (R5000) again in support of Project Rhino!

We raised lots of moola in the past for the Rhino, in 2017 & 2018 and 8 Mile (Midmar) and i know with your support, we can raise the required funds & get me through the very first Oceans 8 Challenge.

I'm not going to lie - i'm not as nearly confident in the sea, as I am in the dam - but they say if a challenge doesn't scare you a little, is it even a challenge.

Oceans 8 Charity Swim NPC

The Oceans 8 Charity Swim is South Africa's first warm water ocean swim of its kind, exclusively for charity.

It has been started by 5 charities (DUCT, NSRI, Project Rhino, Singakwenza and WILDTRUST) to provide a reliable and sustainable flow of funding to deserving non-profits with a footprint in KwaZulu-Natal, to support their work and allow them to continue to engage in and deliver on projects which have an impact and influence on education, environment, community development and upliftment for those most in need. 

The inaugural Oceans 8 Charity Swim will be held on the 16th & 17th (18th) June 2023 at the Durban Undersea Club, with the 5 founding charities benefitting from the 8 Mile swimmers, and 9 invitational charities benefitting from the 1 Mile swimmers.
