Logan Jamie Prinsloo has been selected to represent SA in Japan for karate in July this year. This a great honour and to go to Japan is such a huge opportunity for him especially as it is the country where karate has started and where the well-known dojos are.

Not just the experience is so huge but to be able to take part in such a big competition and to be able to represent South Africa has been a dream of Logan for some time now.

Logan is a Grade 4 pupil at Laerskool Wonderboom. He started with karate at the age of 5. He always puts in the extra effort to make sure he is ready for every competition. He has taken part in a few competitions over the years and has done very well. Last year he won the trophy at his dojo (club) for having won the most medals in the year.

Logan is an allrounder who plays rugby, is in the choir and does public speaking.

He was inspired by his mother who has just passed her Nidan grading last year.

Unfortunately the expenses are very high. The total cost per competitor as well as a parent that accompany him is R50 000 per person.

The cost includes training sessions, flight, accommodation, gear and registration fees.
