Personal message

Hi Family, Friends and Fans.  As you all know, swimming is not my ‘thing’ .... AT ALL.  So swimming Midmar (again) was not really on my bucket list.  But when Sadie’s gorgeous sister, Tyra, sweetly asked Craig to please swim Midmar for Sadie, I was dragged in by default.  So what is my aim for this event?  Purely, to finish within the given hour.  My previous swim a few years ago took a bit longer than an hour.  The only good thing about that, is that I had a life guard paddling alongside me for the entire swim... keeping a very worried, watchful eye on me.   This year, equipped with a swimming course behind my name, I hope to reach my target of 59 minutes, 59 seconds or less....

 So what would I like from each of you?

 Two things:

  1. to read the Swim4Sadie story (for those of you who didn’t get to meet this sweet little girl) and the good work her parents Russell and Cita are now doing as a result of losing a gorgeous daughter way too soon ;<  
  2. please donate R50  towards my swim ;>  I am asking for an insignificant amount  that you will not even miss as I know the rest of the year will hold plenty more requests for various charities.  50 rand, to most of us, is a  quick Vida Coffee or Woolies Sarmie. If we all contribute this tiny weeny amount,  together, we will make a huge impact on some little person’s life.
