Frosty is an exceptional horse.

His breeding doesn’t suggest that he would excel in a sport like showjumping, but he has proven the world wrong. Frosty loves his job and he gets grumpy if he doesn’t jump.

Lila and Frosty has been a partnership for 3 years. She has successfully taken him to 1.35m open junior classes and managed to win Victor Ludorum in Western and Eastern Cape championships. Lila and Frosty is in their final year of juniors because Lila will be 18 next year and Frosty will be retiring at the end of the year.

Frosty has given his whole heart to Lila and always tries his best. They haven’t had many opportunities to compete nationally due to the lack of funds. This year SA junior champs will be in Shongweni - KZN.

The cost of getting Lila and Frosty to Shongweni is astronomical. He needs to travel a week before so that his old legs can recover. This adds to the cost of his livery and Lila’s accommodation. He will need physio when gets there, so he can feel great and will be able to perform at his best.

We would love to make Frosty’s final journey as comfortable as possible for the old man. Transport of a horse this far is very expensive and can take up to 3 days. Frosty has dedicated his whole life to the sport and deserves to travel in comfort so he can do what he loves… jump.

Get Frosty to SA Champs Campaign

Frosty, an unexpected star in showjumping, has been my trusted partner for three phenomenal years.

Despite his unconventional breeding, he's defied expectations, showcasing a love for jumping that's truly unmatched. Now, as we approach the end of our junior career together, with me turning 18, we're really gearing up for our last hurrah!

Our journey has been marked by triumphs, from conquering 1.35m open junior classes to securing the Victor Ludorum at championships in Western and Eastern Cape. However, our opportunities for national competitions have been limited due to financial constraints.

This year, the SA junior championships beckon in Songweni, KZN, but the costs associated with getting Frosty and me there are daunting. His age requires special care, including early travel for recovery, livery expenses, and physiotherapy upon arrival.

As we prepare for Frosty's final journey, I'm reaching out for support to ensure his comfort and well-being. Donations toward our cause not only help us reach our competition destination but also offer contributors a chance to win a week's accommodation in Wilderness, Western Cape.
